Does your group meet regularly or play and active role in the community?

Would your members be open to talk about their health and social care experiences in a confidential setting?

Is your group keen to play an active role in shaping local health and social care services?

Why not join our Healthwatch Assist Network?

A Healthwatch Assist member is the formal name given to a new or existing community group that has agreed to sign up to our information network and act as a communication channel.

This network allows us to build links with communities so we can gather information about the health and care services they use. We simply want to know what is and is not working.

This information is fed back into the community and shared with key healthcare decision makers who can learn from good practice and make improvements to local services.

Engaging with members of the public effectively is crucial to achieving this. Given the large-scale rurality of Devon and the urban areas of Plymouth and Torbay, it is very important to gather views and listen the voices of people that use services across the whole of Devon, as well as locally commissioned services.

We are therefore encouraging local community groups to join our information network of Healthwatch Assists to increase the two-way dialogue between us and the public. This enables people in smaller communities and those seldom-heard groups to have their voice heard and receive important information from Healthwatch about news in your local areas.
