Primary Care Services

To make a complaint about primary care services in Devon, Plymouth or Torbay contact NHS Devon for advice and signposting. This includes GPs, dentists, opticians, and community pharmacy services.

NHS Devon will support patients with any concerns or complaints regarding primary care services in Devon.

Hospital and community services 

Patient Advice Liaison Service (PALS) offers confidential advice, support and information on health matters and the NHS complaints procedure. It provides a point of contact for patients, families and carers. If you have been unable to resolve a problem by speaking with the healthcare staff directly involved, they can help you with your questions or concerns.

Social Care Complaints

The Local Government & Social Care Ombudsman can investigate complaints about child and adult social care. This includes complaints about councils, adult social care providers (including care homes and home care agencies) and some other organisations.

Every area of England has an independent NHS complaints advocacy service funded by the local authority. They can help you make a complaint about an NHS service or work out what you want to achieve from a complaint.
